Halo ranks 5 esports1/21/2024 ![]() What I love about Halo is that 99% of the time it’s so fast paced that the observer can switch to any of the 8 players and something exciting is happening. R6 Siege is my second favourite game, but I couldn’t get into watching the Esports side of it. Halo has been my favourite game to play and my favourite Esport to watch since around 2006. A bunch of the top 10 are playing together on faze. They also have a series that's a few years old going over the top 25 players ever. Lastly if you want to get into halo esports the official channel has a ton of videos of pros interviewing talking about their feelings on halo. Here is one from an insane game between faze and optic If you are into listening to comms halo is one of the few esports I know that posts full videos of comms. If you don't play the game at all it might be a bit confusing since there is no mini map but the commentators generally do a good job. I think the game 6 of this series is the best game of halo infinite played. Here's a great finals between Optic and SSG recently Right now we are in the off season and next season is going to have a new starting gun so it's going to be a really exciting time to jump in and watch. SSG is one of the "big 3" halo franchises right now and either the 2nd or 3rd best team in the world (faze is the best) so definitely a good team to cheer for. They carried us through the bottom of the bell curve player count wise and they put on an awesome broadcast. ![]() Ps - make sure you check out LVT on twitch. Halo might not be as big as cod or other stuff but the passion and the community are unmatched. We’ll go again next year along with SLC if SSG hosts again, plus a couple of the opens. Wife and I loved it so much we went to worlds in Seattle last October. It’s been a ton of fun to now go back and look at the histories of some of these teams forming and competing after watching extensively for a year. Watched lucids streams, then watched the rest of the majors and started watching other dudes as I saw them more (formal, trippy, apg for optic, snakebite, R2, frosty for faze, bubu, etc). My experience this year getting into Halo esports was: watched Charlotte major (first of the year). There are so many dope and fun to watch personalities in all honesty so should be easy enough to find some groups to root for. Watch maybe champ bracket from a couple majors this year, then tune into some of the names you see.
